Pleated filters are commonly used in water surface filtration due to their high working surface area. This allows the cartridge to withstand high levels or particle loading and ensures low pressure drops. The multiple layers of non-woven, polyester media furthers the retention of particles, bonded with strength around a polypropylene core and secured by two vinyl plastisol caps, acting as gaskets.
These cartridges are characterised by excellent sediment absorption of sand, silt, rust and suspended solids from potable water. Yet, have the ability to be washed and reused if it becomes clogged. A simple wipe down or spray between the pleats gets your filter back in action again.
